New School Garden
Aldea Maya has been asked to increase the size of our school garden. We are now building one along one of the walls of the school property. We have hired one of the middle school students, Lisandro, to assist our garden guy, Pedro.
We are putting up a wire fence to try to keep soccer balls out of the garden!!!!
Each grade will have their own garden section. We are increasing the number of indigenous plants in each garden. Each grade will also have its own composter.

Last week Jaime, Pedro and Lisandro collected chicken poop that had been mixed with saw dust and a coffee breakdown product (we call coffee poop because it is really stinky). We hope that this product mixed with our compost will greatly improve the soil.
