Rented a pickup truck today and headed to Solola. Solola is the capitol of this district. We headed to a store we located a few years ago to buy bags of organic compost. As we had the truck we decided to get the filing cabinet we need for the Basico. We also bought 150 yards of chicken wire for the families receiving gardens. We also loaded the truck with other items.
Next we headed off to Chuk Muk…a 2 hour drive. The trip is breathtaking as you drive around gorgeous Lake Atitlan.

Next door to Esteban was a family were the boy had received a papaya plant a year ago. The children came running to get me and asked me to come and see their papaya plant. The plant was HUGE and they had already eaten 8 very large papayas.That’s papayas in less than a year!!!!!
