Busy day in the Chukumuk school today. You will notice that I have spelt Chuk Muk differently. There has always been 2 signs entering Chukumuk and each sign had the name spelt differently. The director had told me that Chuk Muk was the correct spelling but it now looks like they have decided on Chukumuk.
Anyway it was the official school opening today. With music and speaches. They also required me to get up on the stage. Thank goodness they did not ask me to speak!!!
We are helping 10 basico students with their school costs…plus the 9 we have sponsored by families in Canada. Two of the new Basico students came up to thank us.This is all made possible by our Christmas card sales.

One of the Mayan Families managers is going to cosign with me. Unfortunately the rules just changed and I have to go to Guatemala City to get and fill in the necessary forms AAARGH.
