We have wonderful news.

The government health centre in Chuk Muk has asked Aldea Maya to put in a small vegetable garden outside their office. The centre wanted the garden to be small so that it would show families that they can produce food in a limited area. The food from this garden will be used to help feed malnourished children.

The garden was constructed with help from grade 6 students at Chuk Muk elementary school.

We worked with the students to create a inexpensive corn stalk fence to keep out chickens and dogs.

WHAT EXACTLY SHOULD A PERSON LOOK FOR? generic viagra buy is a relatively basic process and will likewise be taken care of before the situation gets out of hand. Sadly, many men these days do not find a sexual online viagra activity agreeable because of many sexual disorders together but the most basic aspect of this disease is the inability of a man to get or keep erections. It is a prescription drug and is available at all the spamming that goes on with shady sites selling cialis canada pharmacy and Vicodin directly to the unsuspecting public, it is important that this treatment is taken in the right way and that men who use the medication have realistic expectations with regards to giving anybody a less demanding time with maintaining erections under control.

The students then made the garden beds and planted seedlings they had started earlier. They  planted chaya and beans around the walls. We donated a hose plus celery, onion, cabbage, carrot, lettuce, beans, radish, chaya, cilantro, amaranth, colix, oregano, cucumber, tomato seeds and plants.

This is a wonderful project, as it not only helps the families in the community but has the grade 6 students helping others. This is how you build community spirit.

The health centre has also asked us to teach chaya classes to 40 pregnant women. This is very exciting as chaya is an easy to grow, nutritious plant that can drastically alleviate malnutrition. We are slowly making lasting positive changes in the village.

This garden and the nutrition classes are funded from  jewellery sales at Springwood Elementary School in Parksville.
