Monday was spent in Panajachel #855  Gladys and her mom.
 
She was so nervous about using her new serger…but after an hour she was able to use it with no problems. She is presently taking the Mayan Families sewing program and this has definitely increased her confidence. She had spent the weekend cutting out the various pieces and just wizzed along sewing them together. Her daughter was a great help in cutting out the liners, pinning and hand sewing on the snaps. They are going to make a great team. The mom is happy that this project may help her be able to buy food etc for her family.

This is a joint project with Mayan Families and they will be for sale on either of our websites. The package costs $25 and includes 4 pairs of undies, 12 outer liners and 15 inner liners. This is a great project as it allows women to have some dignity  and will last a woman for years. It will also help teenage girls be able to go to school all the time.
