Today is our first full day in Chuk Muk. It is wonderful visiting the office and seeing all the students using the computers. We now have a satellite and 10 computers can be used at the same time. When we were in Guatemala City we met Dr. Jimmy a surgeon from Texas and her daughter Elizabeth. They were in Guatemala to perform operations….unfortunately the supplies did not arrive. They had 5 days to kill so decided to go with us to Chuk Muk. We are having a great time with them putting them to work.

While we were in the office we got Dr. Jimmy to look at one of our students Pedro. Pedro has been having problems with pain on the top area of his leg. We had sent him to the hospital and they had diagnosed bone issues. We had been paying for medicine and physio. We decided to get Jimmy to look at it and she informed us that it was not bone issues but a hernia. We will now be looking into surgery for Pedro.

When we were in Guatemala City we bought more books for our library. We now have over 50 great, interesting books. We will start the library in a few weeks when school closes.
