This morning we started teaching our staff nutrition/cooking classes using chaya. We are expanding our cooking and nutrition programs through our Global Giving crowd funding initiative.

On the walk back home I passed a house just outside of Chuk Muk. In this house the family plans on have 3 children at the Chuk Muk Basico.

They however informed me that they were not registered because they could not afford the sign up fee. Aldea Maya pays for supplies and more than half of the monthly fee but we do not have the funds to pay the sign up fee. Unfortunately the school keeps raising this fee. The students in this home are not sponsored.

They do, however, make a ton of different types of beadwork. We order enough beadwork to enable this lovely family to be able to pay their sign up fees.
