Today was Francisco’s first day of work with Aldea Maya. Francisco is one of our first high school graduates and he should be starting to study agriculture in the next few weeks at university. He will study one day a week for the next 7 years. Here you can see him watering in the school garden.

We visited Josue’s family to see how their new garden is doing. It is not doing too bad…..the Hass avocado tree is growing nicely. Francisco will be working with all of the families to get their gardens more productive. This is a long process as the soil is so poor in this village.

In the afternoon, Jaime rode his motorbike around the village visiting all our sponsor families, this took many hours, and organizing their attendance at our starting a new school meeting.
