It is totally amazing to see how well everyone is sewing in just a few months. They all look very professional with their tape measures around their necks operating the industrial machines.

They 5 women that were sewing that day told me they are loving the learning and making of money.

The next 6 hours we spent visiting the homes of ALL the students going to start high school and university. We have 13 starting high school. There are many different options for high school and the costs vary widely. We had to discus the costs with each student because in first year high school you also have to purchase the school uniform which reduces the amount you can give for transportation and projects.

Here we are visiting Marvin’s family. Marvin is one of our university students. He would like to study math and physics ( the architecture is too expensive) Unfortunately there needs to be 20 students registered for physics and the program only has 5 registered at this time. The family is taking the kernels of dried corn. They rent a small plot of land on the coast and grow enough corn for a years worth of tortillas.

I am putting in the other photo of Marvin’s family….it may be a wee bit out of focus but they all look a lot happier.
