Today we visited our seven family gardens in Chukmuk. We found that most of them were starting to collect their own seed, as we showed them to do it. According to Maria (our chaya class teacher) during this year she has collected more then 300 large bananas from her banana plants. She has sold some of the bananas to the people in Chukmuk to earn money.

We also gave the families carrot, onion, beet , radish and cilantro seeds. We will be visiting the families over the next few months to asses how their gardens are doing and tweek the project if needed.
